Dr. Crum maintains a broadly varied, comprehensive ophthalmology practice with an emphasis on sutureless, small-incision cataract and anterior segment surgery, eyelid surgery, diabetic evaluations, and laser surgery. His patients include young children, older patients with macular degeneration, and people of all ages in between. In addition to caring for patients with eye diseases, Dr. Crum and his colleagues perform routine eye exams and fit glasses and contact lenses.
Dr. Crum has developed a far-reaching reputation for complementing his excellent clinical and surgical skills with his sense of humor, and he has even been invited to lecture to ophthalmologists on his light “bedside manner” at a national eye meeting held annually in Hawaii. Dr. Crum enjoys improvisational comedy and performs with a local group that does live monthly shows. He enjoys being onstage nearly as much as he enjoys being a doctor.
Dr. Crum’s wife Karen attained a doctorate in Public Health with an emphasis in Preventive Care. Together they have two daughters and are very active in sports and church activities. They all enjoy the beauty and rich diversity of Redding and the North State Region and are proud to be members of this community.
